This file contains a brief introduction to the applications that are part of the Demo parcel. For more information about launching these applications from your Web Browser and for specific platform and configuration requirements, see the class comments. ActiveXDemos contains specs with embedded ActiveX controls. BounceTest embeds the applet from the BounceItem class found in http://java.sun.com/applets/applets/BouncingHeads. ClickLogoTest demonstrates the VisualWave ClickWidget. ClientPullExample1 and ClientPullExample2 show how to implement basic client pull in a web application. One uses the window properties to start and stop client pull and to set the refresh rate. The other uses programmatic access to these properties. CookieExample expands on material presented in the VisualWave cookie tutorial. DiskSpaceUsage demonstrates the ability to dynamically generate scenes based on domain information gathered prior to rendering. Frames3Test is an example of a framed canvas. It demonstrates three ways to target output to particular frames. HelloVRMLWorld is an example intended to be a first glance at VRML. JADemo shows how JavaScript can call Java methods using the Blink class from the JDK demo directory. MapClickApp demonstrates clickable images which display or react to clicks in custom ways. It demonstrates creating a custom subclass of ClickWidget. PlanetO demonstrates the ability to dynamically generate scenes based on domain information gathered prior to rendering. ServiceDeskDemo is a framed application that tracks customers and service calls. Verify contains two specs that show simple examples of form validation with JavaScript. Wave20_CheckbookInteface is the framed version of the checkbook tutorial. It uses JavaScript for simple form verification. WebASketch allows simple click-to-sketch activity, and is based on the VisualWorks/VisualWave Cookbook example of creating a custom view and embedding it in a canvas. 02/27/97 py
